So today I went to the new facility where I’m getting my treatment. It’s at a real hospital which is nice but weird when your boyfriend kisses you then tells you “you smell like hospital”. ha. So my appointment was at 9am. I got there and had to register first. It took them an hour to call my name to make sure that I didn’t have a co-pay. Great. So then it was 10am and I go back upstairs to the outpatient center and sit and wait for them to mix up a fresh batch of remicade. By 11 I finally had it in me. However, at this point I was so hungry and the only thing they could give me was crackers. A girl can only eat so many saltines. They had cable which was good. I watched “I didn’t know I was pregnant” and fixated on the fact that I also gained 15lbs and two cup sizes and have had a weird menstrual cycle lately. I’m probably going to poop a baby later…. Then I watched “Say Yes to the dress” and scrutinized all the girls on there. The nurse was young and she watched TV with me which is a first. I could also relate to her. They also had this machine that pumped the remicade in, instead of my old place that just used gravity. The difference is that if I moved my hand a certain position, in the gravity one, the medicine wouldn’t go in and I would accidentally stop it. Also, in the gravity one, when the bag ran dry, for SOME WEIRD REASON, my blood would get sucked up into the bag. Neither of those things happen with a machine.

Anyway, I didn’t get out of there until 1pm and got back around 2. I’ve had a migrane (because that’s what happens when I don’t eat) since then and have been so out of it. That new bach is so potent!

SO, I’m really am thinking about switching to Humeria (self injection)

What do you think?
